Absolutely Disgusted – Avoid Funchal Fast Foods! I had one of the worst experiences ever with Funchal Fast Foods. I asked my husband to buy me a well-done T-bone steak and chips yesterday. When it arrived, I started eating from the fillet side, but as I cut into the rest of the steak, I was shocked to find it extremely undercooked — practically raw, with blood running through it. Totally unacceptable. I immediately phoned them to express my dissatisfaction and informed them that I would return the meal the next day. When I went back, hoping for a simple resolution or exchange, I was met with a rude, arrogant man who had absolutely no customer service skills. He dismissed me outright and accused me of "eating the order." Yes, I had a few chips and tasted a small piece before cutting into the actual steak, which is how I discovered the issue in the first place! Instead of taking accountability, he spoke down to me, showing no willingness to resolve the issue. When I told him how disappointed I was with his attitude, he had the nerve to say I wouldn’t make a difference to their business. Well, here's my warning: If you care about food quality or basic respect, stay far away from this place. I paid R150 for food that wasn’t edible and got insulted in the process. The food is substandard, and the management clearly doesn’t care about their customers. Terrible service. Terrible attitude. Never again. Price per person: R 150–200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
