I ordered a cake in the week, Wednesday. Told them I would collect midday on Friday, it ms my daughter's birthday. Got to Paul at 6 pm Friday, still not ready. 6 Staff asked if i'd been assisted and said they would check, some didnt get back to me, those that did get back to me, said in 5 mins it would be ready. Half hour Later still waiting for the cake. Only got the cake 40 mins later. I said to the person that handed me the cake that I hope it was not frozen, she assured me it was not. We cut the cake at 9pm, it was ice cold. Mykods boight me a birthday cake 2 weeks before that and had the same experience. Didn't think it would be repeat. Staff are shifting blame. Sandra took the order on the Wednesday. I was told that Anna received the order but forgot about it. 2 Mins before receiving the cake, I was offered a cup of coffee on the house. The service is absolutely poor, my waiter came to my table after I was seated by the hostess (who took my order as well) and just grabbed the menu from my table without greeting me. The second time she came to bring my drink and put it on the table without greeting or pouring the drink into the glass. It was at that point that I greeted her which she responded to, the waiter just seemed generally uninterested and did not even come to check on me throughout my seating. The food was great!. The restaurant gets packed and the tables are closely placed to each other with not much space in the restaurant. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: R 300–400 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

This was one of the WORST restaurant experiences I’ve had. The dining area and seating was unclean and the service was extremely POOR — our server showed little to none interest, didn’t greet or make any eye contact with us, and didn’t offer assistance unless prompted (a few times). I had to ask for help four times when arriving. This visit reflects poorly on the PAUL brand. I’ve enjoyed other branches and would return, but this experience was unacceptable. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: R 100–200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
